Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager with a proven track record in ground-up multifamily construction. The ideal candidate will lead projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of multifamily ground-up construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee on-site operations to ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and project specifications.
- Conduct regular progress meetings and provide updates to clients and senior leadership.
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts.
- Resolve any project-related issues promptly to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Prepare and submit necessary project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing multifamily ground-up construction projects.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety standards, and multifamily construction methods.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Bluebeam).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with podium, wrap, or garden-style multifamily projects.
- Knowledge of green building practices and LEED certification processes.
